Hand in hand

She cringed as she second guessed her footing, hoping that the narrow heels on the shoes she was wearing would not give out. Hoping that they wouldn't become wedged and stuck between the rocks that were most likely underneath the long grass, weeds and branches on the small hill they were clmibing.

Navigating her way on a path of beaten down grass, she felt his hand in hers and instantly felt relieved. It was the hand she had been holding onto for the last decade, since her last year of highschool and it is the hand that she will continue to hold for the rest of her life.
